    Work for the Student Life Office

    The Student Life Office is currently accepting applications for the following work-study positions. The positions available are only for students who qualify for the federal work study program through The Office of Financial Aid.

    If any of the following positions interest you, please complete the application, print it for your records and email it to the staff member responsible for that area. You can also bring the application into the Student Life Office located in the lower level of the student center on the McNichols Campus or call us at 313-993-1150.

    Orientation Leader Positions 2020 are available below.

    Please print all of the documents and submit to the Dean of Students Office by Monday,  January 27, 2020.  You will need to submit the application, copy of a resume, checklist, and the recommendation form.

    Orientation Leader Important Information 

    SUMS Attendant/Games Room Attendant

    This position requires employees to check-out game equipment to students, maintain all equipment in the SUMS area including audio equipment, process and maintain SUMS mail and aid students with questions concerning the SUMS mail operation. Please contact Adam Hollmann at for more information.

    Grounds Coffeehaus Attendant

    The position requires employees to maintain the general cleanliness of Grounds CoffeeHaus, make drinks, operate and maintain the cash register, and maintain ongoing event calendars. Please contact Adam Hollmann at for more information.

    Student Life Office Assistant

    This position requires various duties, including answering student, faculty and parent questions, filing, answering telephones, and other duties as assigned. Some responsibilities require preparing correspondence, form filing, planning events and activities. Office assistants work in all areas of the Student Life Office reporting to the associate dean, assistant directors and office coordinator of SLO.
