Biography
Associate Professor of Biology, teaches courses in General Microbiology, Immunology, and Pathogenic Microbiology . Dr. Grave's publications and presentations have dealt with microbiology, public health, and the environment. His laboratory is doing research on bioremediation and degradation. This research has been supported by grants from the Federal Government and private industry. He is an elected member of the American Society for Microbiology. He was a Research Scientist at
Indiana University, 1985-87; Research Associate at the University of Virginia, 1982-85; and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of North Carolina, 1978-82. Dr. Graves hold the B.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Missouri. He came to the University of Detroit Mercy in 1987.
