Larceny
Date: Between July 23 and August 15
Location: Inside Calihan Hall, Lot F VIP Section, and Lot H
Circumstances
McNichols Campus– The University of Detroit Mercy Public Safety Department has received several reports of larcenies on campus between the above dates. All of the incidents have involved the theft of personal belongings which have been left unattended and vehicles that have been left unlocked. University members are reminded to always secure their belongings and to lock their vehicles. Valuables should never be left in plain sight inside vehicles.
If anyone suspicious is seen on campus you are strongly encouraged to contact the Department of Public Safety.

Update as of August 23, 2019
McNichols Campus – The University of Detroit Mercy Public Safety Department provides this new update to this previous Safety Notice. Earlier this week, in conjunction with the Detroit Police Department and other municipal Police agencies, Detroit Mercy Public Safety effected an arrest of a subject in connection with numerous larcenies from automobiles.
As a reminder, University community members should always secure their belongings and lock their vehicles. Do not leave valuables in plain sight inside vehicles.

- Be aware of your surroundings and others around you at all times.
- Lock all doors and windows each time you leave.
- Secure all belongings in lockers.
- Secure valuables in trunks of vehicles.
