"Bump and Rob" Scheme

Circumstances
The Detroit Police Department is investigating two incidents in the McNichols Avenue area whereas the method of “Bump and Rob” has been utilized by the suspect. In this scenario, victim is driving and is bumped in the rear. When the victim pulled over, the suspect jumped out of his vehicle with a handgun and robbed the victim. This happened on two occasions in the same approximate area. The Detroit Police Department is looking for two male suspects and one female suspect in connection with these two incidents.
The Detroit Police Department warns all drivers in the area that if this happens to you, do not stop but drive directly to the nearest Police Station which in this area is the 12th Precinct, located on West Seven Mile and Woodward.
In addition, Department of Public Safety recommends the Faculty, Staff, and Students that are near campus can go directly to the Entrance or the Public Safety Office
