Career-related conversations can happen across various settings: classrooms, residence halls, academic departments, and student organizations. The collaboration between Career Development and those who support and encourage students to avail themselves of our services is highly valued. Whenever you believe that your student would benefit from speaking with an expert in career research and exploration, we are ready to work with you.
Here are some ways the Office of Career and Professional Development can support you and your students:
- Encourage them to use resources like 'What can I do with this major?' and 'Focus 2' for career planning.
- Host employers in your office for workshops on a topic of your choosing.
- Volunteer at a career fair to support your students while they network.
- Encourage your students to schedule an appointment with our office.

Share what you know when students are hired for internships and their first post-UDM jobs. This information helps us strengthen relationships with employers, connect students to new opportunities, and increases our career outcomes rate. Career outcomes are shared online, to prospective students and families, and beyond (including accreditation teams and national rankings including U.S. News and World Report).
