Biography
Gregory Banazak was born in Detroit and raised in Troy, Mich. He is a Catholic priest of the Archdiocese of Detroit.
Banazak taught full-time at Saint Cyril and Methodius Seminary in Orchard Lake, Mich., where he was also academic dean. He has also taught as an adjunct instructor at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in Detroit, Siena Heights University and other institutions. Banazak was an adjunct at UDM from 2000-24, when he was hired full-time.
Among the scholarly societies to which Banazak belongs are the American Academy of Religion, the Catholic Theological Society of America, the College Theology Society, the Society of Biblical Literature and the Catholic Biblical Association of America.
