Biography
Stacey Stevens is currently the grants officer in the College of Health Professions & McAuley School of Nursing, a new role within the college. She brings expertise in grant writing and management for social justice nonprofits, deeply supporting organizations in racial equity initiatives across Michigan. Prior to her current position, Stevens contributed significantly to the Michigan Roundtable for Just Communities funding portfolio through mission-driven program development and grant writing.
Earlier in her career, Stevens co-authored "Imported from Detroit," The Journal of Law in Society, Vol. 15(1), 2013). In 2015, she was part of the inaugural cohort of the Detroit Equity Action Lab at the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights at Wayne State University. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Master in Social Work from University of Michigan.
Stevens enjoys cooking like she's on Chopped, with random items in her kitchen that seem to come together to make a delicious meal.
