Biography
Associate Professor of Civil, Architectural & Environmental Engineering. Professor Lynch has a bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from University of Detroit, a master's degree in Civil Engineering from Wayne State University, and a PhD in Civil Environmental Engineering from Northwestern University. In between completing his bachelor's degree and starting his PhD, Professor Lynch worked as a civil engineer in the Metropolitan Detroit Area. His industry experience included design, laboratory, and field projects in geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, and materials testing. Professor Lynch is a professional engineer in the State of Michigan. His current research interests include nondestructive evaluation of concrete by wave propagation methods. Dr. Lynch is also the advisor for the ASCE student chapter.
