Titan Winter Blast set for Saturday, Feb. 4
The Titan Winter Blast, Detroit Mercy's annual signature winter event, returns Saturday, Feb. 4.
Join alumni, students, staff and faculty, friends, family and neighbors from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Fitness Center on the McNichols Campus as we turn up the heat with homemade chili, toasty drinks and Titan camaraderie.
Fun and festivities that Saturday include the popular Chili Cook-Off, a casual buffet featuring National Coney Island coneys, an open bar featuring selections from North Center Brewing Company, horse-drawn trolley rides through campus, live music from Detroit Mercy's Music Club, fowling and numerous family-friendly games and activities.
After the tailgate, head to Calihan Hall to cheer on record-setting standout Antoine Davis and the Detroit Mercy men's basketball team, as they host Purdue Fort Wayne at 1 p.m. on Dick Vitale Court. The Chili Cook-Off winner will be announced at halftime of the contest.
Admission for alumni, faculty, staff and guests is $20 before Jan. 26 ($25 after). Student admission is $5 before Jan. 26 ($10 after) and children ages 10 and under are free.
Your Titan Winter Blast ticket includes chili tastings during the cook-off, open beer and wine bar, picnic buffet, family-friendly activities and fun, as well as tickets to the Titan men's basketball game.
