More than 100 staff members, administrators and faculty participated in the first Fall Clean-Up Day on Nov. 9.

Volunteers were divided into work crews and raked leaves, trimmed plants for the winter and picked up trash on the McNichols Campus. They were rewarded with a lunch of hamburgers and hot dogs grilled by staff volunteers.

The event was designed by University President Donald Taylor to build community on the campus among departments. Another will be planned in the spring, just before Commencement ceremonies.
