President Garibaldi helps unveil Live6 Alliance work in ribbon-cutting ceremony
President Antoine M. Garibaldi helped celebrate the grand opening of the revamped McNichols and 6 Mile streetscape just outside of the headquarters of the Live6 Alliance, roughly a half-mile west of University of Detroit Mercy.
Garibaldi, along with Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan, Detroit City Councilman Roy McCalister, Live6 Executive Director Geneva Williams, and others participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially unveil the hard work and dedication the community has put in to the McNichols corridor. In the coming months, several businesses are set to open in the area.
Live6 Alliance was formed in 2015 through a partnership comprised of Detroit Mercy, The Kresge Foundation, the city of Detroit and other philanthropic stakeholders. Live6 Alliance’s mission is to enhance the quality of life and economic opportunity in Northwest Detroit.
