Biography
William Bowen works as an IT specialist for the U.S. Army since May 2003. Currently, he manages wireless accounts for numerous employees on project installations. Bowen is an adjunct professor at University of Detroit Mercy and teaches access technologies and software sustainment.
Bowen works full time with the federal government where his primary duties include facility management, wireless communications management, information assurance and telecommunications services. In addition to his government job, he also teaches network security for undergraduate and graduate students as well as technical courses at University of Detroit Mercy.
He holds a Master of Science in Information Assurance from University of Detroit Mercy as well as an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) V3 Fundamental Certification, CompTIA Security+ Certification, Windows 7 Certification and the EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker qualification. Bowen also works with various professional organizations including Black Data Processing Associates (BDPA) and the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE).
