    Research Interests

Dr. Gofan's current scholarship focuses on the strong empirical support that telling aspects of one’s life story has positive emotional and physical health effects. Surprisingly, limited research has been conducted on the effects of telling a cancer survivors' story through the eyes of African American women diagnosed with breast cancer. This two part (cross-sectional and longitudinal) project will assess the emotional health effects of African America females telling their cancer survivor story
