Biography
Dr. Alaa Elmoursi is a full-time international instructor at University of Detroit Mercy in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department. From 2018-21, Dr. Elmoursi served as a special lecturer at Oakland University in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department.
Dr. Elmoursi worked in Delphi's research lab from 1999-2006, as well as General Motors' research lab from 1985-99. His last role in industry was global technology manager at Eaton Corporation from 2007 until early retirement in 2016.
Dr. Elmoursi received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from University of Western Ontario in 1985. Over the past 30 years, Dr. Elmoursi has published more than 60 research articles in referred journals and conferences, holds more than thirty United States and foreign patents and has given many invited talks in his fields of expertise.
