Parent Orientation

Student with her mother.

College is an investment, an emotional and financial investment, for the whole family.  That's why Detroit Mercy offers an orientation just for parents of new students.  Our one-day program will provide you with tips on how to guide your student toward success.

2019 Parent Orientation dates coming soon

If attending orientation on the same day as your student, you will check-in and participate in the opening session together. After the opening session, students will begin their orientation and the rest of your day will be spent with other parents.

Parent orientation is a one day program and student orientation is an overnight program.  If you are planning to pick your student up from orientation, plan to meet in the Fountain Lounge on Friday at 1:00 p.m.  Should you need hotel accommodations or dining options go to visitdetroit.com.

If you have enrollment questions or you need to cancel or reschedule your reservation, please contact the Office of Admissions at 313-993-1245 or admissions@udmercy.edu. We look forward to having you on campus this summer!

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate infants, toddlers, or young siblings.
