Detroit Mercy’s annual Day of Giving event is set for Feb. 12 from 12:30-2 p.m. in the Student Union Fountain Lounge.

The event will feature free lunch, a photo booth and several ways to win prizes. Come on by, grab some food, show your appreciation to our donors and help Detroit Mercy defeat Oakland in the annual giving challenge.

Event details
12:30-2 p.m. — Fountain Lounge

  • FREE LUNCH — Everyone who comes out and participates in our Day of Giving event can enjoy lunch on us. We'll also have alumni from the morning mentoring session eager to network with you!
  • PHOTO BOOTH — Grab your friends and take a picture in our photo booth. This is also a great opportunity to hold up our “THANK YOU ALUMNI” sign in your pictures and show your gratitude to the many alumni who donate their time, talent and treasure to the University.
  • SELFIE CONTEST STATION — A week before the event, we'll be posting signs with large bows around campus on all the labs, buildings, classrooms and items that were made possible through alumni donations. Take a selfie with these signs and get one entry for each you take. There are over 20 locations on campus, so the more you take a selfie with, the better your odds of winning. We'll be giving away five $50 Amazon gift cards! Just share with us at the event to be submitted.
  • PLINKO TRIVIA STATION — Answer some fun questions and get goodies for participating: Giveaways include pop sockets, credit card holders and water bottles!
  • THANKATHON STATION — Let our alumni know how much you appreciate their generosity and sign a quick thank-you note.
  • BLANK CHECK STATION — Let us know what organization you would donate to if you had unlimited funds. Put up on the display board for everyone to see.
  • LIVE GIVING STATION — Every year, Detroit Mercy competes with Oakland University to see which University can get the most donors during a giving challenge before the men's basketball game against Oakland. The losing university's mascot has to wear the other mascot's jersey. Keep Detroit Mercy’s momentum going and make sure the bear has to once again wear a Titans’ jersey. Donations will be directed to three areas chosen by students: dorm updates, updates to the Student Union, and lighting on Titan Field.
