WTVS-Channel 56 co-host and The Detroit News Editorial Page Editor Nolan Finley interview with Dr. Garibaldi from the Grand Hotel porch.

Detroit Mercy President Antoine M. Garibaldi attended the 2017 Mackinac Policy Conference, May 30-June 2, and had an opportunity to meet with several media outlets, legislators and policy makers to discuss the work that the University is currently engaged in to aid in the re-emergence of the city and its neighborhoods.

On Wednesday, May 31, Dr. Garibaldi was a guest on the WJR-Radio 760 AM radio program, “Caring For Kids,” hosted by Children’s Hospital of Michigan Foundation President & CEO Larry Burns. During the on-air interview, Dr. Garibaldi highlighted many of the programs and services that Detroit Mercy provides to the community. Listen to the interview online.

Also on Wednesday, WTVS-Channel 56 (PBS) MiWeek co-host and The Detroit News Editorial Page Editor Nolan Finley focused on current education trends in our state for MiWeek live from the Grand Hotel porch. He interviewed Dr. Garibaldi during this segment (see photo above). Check it out online.

On Thursday, June 1, Dr. Garibaldi joined WWJ Newsradio 950 morning co-host Tom Jordan live to discuss the University, the future of neighborhood development around the three University campuses and the Live6 Alliance.

Also on Thursday, Dr. Garibaldi joined WXYT 1270 AM's “Small Talk” host Mark Lee to talk about the Live6 effort and development around the Detroit Mercy McNichols Campus. Listen to the interview online.

Later on Thursday, WFDF 910 AM radio host Karen Dumas talked with Dr. Garibaldi live on air about different ways the University continues to work with the city, urban education and the work conducted in partnership with the Detroit Public Schools, including the need to attract more minority men in the teaching field.
