  • Communication studies students graduate with a professional portfolio of print, broadcast and digital work, allowing many graduates to cut through the clutter of the entry-level job market.
  • Students have many opportunities to gain experience from writing and reporting for the student newspaper, The Varsity News, to documentary filmmaking and producing or hosting a radio show through Detroit Mercy Radio.
  • Internships with in communications roles throughout Metro Detroit create great experience and relevant portfolio work samples.
  • Small class sizes mean plenty of individualized attention aimed at making sure our students succeed.
